TAIPEI--Jeremy Lin, the first NBA player of Taiwanese descent, missed 11 of his 13 shots Saturday in Philadelphia to extend the Houston Rockets' list of road defeats to three in a row as the 76ers got a 107-100 victory to end a five-game losing streak.
After three quarters, the Rockets trailed nine points behind. Houston narrowed the gap to 96-93 on five turnovers by the Sixers at the beginning of the final quarter, but with 6:11 remaining, the Rockets were unable to score any shots in the next five minutes.
During the period, the Sixers went on a 6-0 run to pull off the victory.
“Every team goes through some adversity and we're going through some a little bit right now,” Rockets head coach Kevin McHale was quoted by AP as saying. “We didn't win. We've got to find a way to win,” he said.
