Rockets beat Bucks to score 3rd straight win

TAIPEI--The Houston Rockets scored their third consecutive win on Friday, beating the Milwaukee Bucks 115-101 in an away game.

Jeremy Lin, the first NBA player of Taiwanese descent, sustained a cut on his left side of his head when he collided with the Bucks' Larry Sanders in the third quarter.

While Lin was getting five stitches to close the cut, his teammate Toney Douglas scored 12 of his total 18 points in the third quarter to help the Rockets recover from their 47-58 lag after the first two quarters.

"I just know that when I came back, our guys were flying around with high energy," Lin said.

"We were getting stops, just the way we're supposed to play, the way that we've played in the past in some spurts. And then we just tried to carry it over to the fourth quarter," he said on the Rockets' official website.

The Rockets took a 77-72 lead in the third quarter and widened the gap after Lin returned.

He started the fourth quarter and finished with eight points, seven assists and six turnovers.

The Bucks recorded 17 turnovers in the last two quarters, which allowed the Rockets to rack up 68 points to wrap up the game.

James Harden of the Rockets scored 29 points and had seven assists and four steals, while Carlos Delfino made 6-of-7 3-pointers on his way to 22 points off the bench against his old team.

The Rockets, which started the year on a winning streak, will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.
