Lin said his rookie year in the NBA was extremely hard and he was so depressed by his failure that he kept wondering why he was there. But after one of his breakthrough games in February this year, Lin said, he understood “why I am here.” “Every game, I tried to play my hardest for God,” the 24-year-old point guard said. Riding the crest of Lin's popularity, the evangelical gathering attracted over 7,000 people who squeezed into the Xinzhuang Arena in New Taipei City, according to Good TV Broadcasting Corp., which organized the event.
