TAIPEI -- Jeremy Lin, the first American-born NBA player of Taiwanese descent, has retained a new agent to help him handle basketball and marketing matters following his breakout season with the New York Knicks.
Jim Tanner, a partner at the Washington-based law firm Williams & Connolly, will represent Lin in all areas of contractual agreements, marketing endorsements, licensing, personal appearances, media relations, and community investments, according to a statement issued by the firm Thursday.
Tanner will collaborate with Lin's original agent, Roger Montgomery, on free agency and basketball matters, the statement added.
