Fair urges public to 'Drink in the Memory of Kinmen'
The China Post news staff--The “Drink in the Memory of Kinmen” exhibition will tomorrow wind up its five-day run at the --inyi Public Assembly Hall in the --inyi District of Taipei, and local people are advised to visit the show as early as possible to get valuable souvenirs, according to Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor Inc., organizer of the event.
The exhibition is being held to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of the Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor company, which was inaugurated in 1952 on the outlying island of Kinmen.
Visitors can see a full range of liquor products, available in a wide variety of package designs and shapes, turned out by the company over the past 60 years, mainly including festival liquor, national memorial liquor and battlefield memorial liquor.
The firm's general manager Peter Wu said that all the exhibits are borrowed from the private sector, indicating that locals have long kept various cherishable kaoliang liquor products.
Also on display are numerous historical pictures taken over the past six decades to record the history of Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor, with each picture bringing visitors face to face with pivotal moments of the company and the birth of its products.
