SHENZHEN -- Brothers Francesco and Edoardo Molinari gave Italy its first victory in the World Cup of Golf, beating Sweden and Ireland by a stroke Sunday.

The Molinari brothers shot a 4-under 68 in the alternate-shot final round at the Mission Hills' club, finishing at 29 under.

Francesco hit a long greenside bunker to 3 feet on the 18th to set up Edoardo's winning par putt.

Sweden almost forced a playoff, but a long putt on the 18th lipped out. Henrik Stenson and Robert Karlsson, the winners last year, shot a 69 to tie for second with Ireland's Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell (70).
