American beef or Taiwanese pork: Which is real hazard? Chiayi City, Taiwan -- American beef or Taiwanese pork — which is safer to stay on the menu? People are being told that there is nothing to worry about “well-cooked” pork, but how about the risk of the airborne virus being transmitted by handling pork? There have been people in Taiwan who have died from H1N1 flu.
