Yilan Pavilion offers rich incentives at int'l travel fair ILAN, Taiwan -- Exhibitors at the Yilan Pavilion during the 2009 Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF) will offer a wide variety of incentives to visitors who plan on taking sightseeing or recreational trips to the northeastern county. People visiting the 2009 ITF, set for Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the Exhibition Hall I of the Taipei World Trade Center, will have the opportunity to purchase coupons with deep discounts for staying at premium facilities in Yilan County. Special prices will be given to those who make advance bookings or buy the vouchers for hotels, home stay facilities and spa parlors as well as enjoying meals at various restaurants. Visitors can use sightseeing instruments and gear like bicycles, scooters, and bird-watching binoculars plus the popular Wii games free of charge. Organized by the Yilan County Government, the exhibitors will also display unique food items and souvenirs originating from the county, including tea, rice, green onion pies, “ox tongue” pies, cakes, taro paste, honey, and rice wine. Operators of bed & breakfast facilities will jointly offer promotional packages comprised of the “B&B in Yilan” tour booklets containing detailed travel information, “Taiwan House VIP cards” for special discounts, cute and attractive B&B dolls, and raffles offering prizes like free use of Hyundai sedans for tours in Yilan. For additional prizes and giveaways, interested visitors may take part in games held at the Yilan Pavilion, including “pulling tiger whiskers” for daring people who seek bonus awards like gift bags and a quiz contest in which participants will answer questions concerning historic sites, culture and folklore and tourism resources available in the county. |
