CARSON, California -- Eduardo Lillingston's 38th minute goal was enough for Chivas to beat Seattle 1-0 on Saturday and extend its lead in Major League Soccer.

Chivas ended a run of three games without a win and went six points above Houston atop the Western Conference.

Seattle has gone six games without victory after a promising start to its inaugural MLS season

Lillingston scored with a tap-in after teammate Paulo Nagamura had a close-range shot blocked by veteran Seattle keeper Kasey Keller.

Wizards 0, Crew 2 In Kansas City, Kansas, Guillermo Barros Schelotto capitalized on an early defensive mistake for a goal, then tacked on a second-half penalty as Columbus broke an eight-match road winless streak by downing Kansas City.

The veteran Argentine playmaker's eight goals this season ties him for the league scoring lead with Colorado's Conor Casey, who was on U.S. national team duty Saturday.

Columbus, unbeaten in its past eight matches, had not won away from home this season.

Toronto 1, Galaxy 2 In Toronto, substitute Edson Buddle scored the winning goal late in the second half to give Los Angeles a win over Toronto, extending their unbeaten streak to 10 games.

It also was the first victory for the Galaxy after five straight draws.

Alan Gordon had given Los Angeles a 6th minute lead, heading in Eddie Lewis' corner. English striker Danny Dichio equalized for Toronto.

The Galaxy's winner came when Gordon's pass sent a streaking Buddle through to score against his former team.

Real Salt Lake 1, Rapids 1 In Sandy, Utah, Omar Cummings drilled a shot past goalkeeper Nick Rimando in the 88th minute to salvage a home point for Colorado against Real Salt Lake.

Colorado took advantage after RSL's Robbie Russell picked up his second yellow card in the 82nd minute and was ejected.

Yura Movsisyan scored in the 79th minute for RSL.
