TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Active Development Co., Ltd., a leading Taiwan multimedia and security solutions provider, plans to wow buyers and visitors with the variety of products it's bringing to COMPUTEX Taipei 2008.

Those seeking a simple, reasonably priced home surveillance solution may be drawn to the DH500 wireless IP cam, which gets its own IP address once connected wirelessly to the Internet. Users locate the IP address by PC at a remote location and start monitoring. The cams may be set up at multiple locations, so users can watch the venues from a single monitor. Since the IP cam is wireless, it allows greater mobility, sparing users the need to connect it to a router.

"What we offer is a low-cost security solution suitable for homes and families, as opposed to IP cams for industrial and professional purposes," said Henry Wu, general manager of Active Development. "With our product, you can set up a home surveillance system with a price that is a quarter of what's found in the market."

For those not so tech-savvy, the DH600 kit is an ideal solution. The DH600 receives signals from all IP cams at different locations. Users only need to connect the receiver to a monitor to begin surveillance.

Security solutions aside, Active Development will also demonstrate a series of multimedia and entertainment products.

The DMP100 is a simple digital media player that offers maximal convenience for users. Equipped with a memory card reader and a USB storage input, the device can be connected to a TV to allow viewing of whatever files stored on a Flash memory card or USB storage. Mediums supported include still graphics, audio and video. "Users can download files from the Internet, store them on a memory card, and put it in the player. Then they are all set to enjoy the files played back on TV," Wu said.

The WA1200 Wi-Fi viewer offers a cutting-edge display solution for both the home and office. Connected wirelessly to the PC, the WA1200 can be hooked up to a TV or projector, allowing playback of what's stored in the computer on a remote display device. Included with the WA1200 is a remote control that makes playback easier and more convenient.

The PA200 is a universal TV card that supports major analog TV standards used in different countries. By connecting the cable into the TV card, users can watch local programs on their PCs. With Active Development's software, one can even capture programs and store them in VCD or DVD format. A timer is included in the software so it can record their favorite TV shows at certain times. Active Development, also has TV cards that support digital TV formats and analog/digital formats.

For those seeking to enjoy HDTV contents on their LCD monitor, Active Development has HDTV ultra, a TV box that connects to the flat-panel screen. With the device, images of up to 1680x1050 resolutions may be displayed on the LCD monitor, offering the best visual experience for users.
