Tenor Luciano Pavarotti leaves hospital in Italy Italian opera star Luciano Pavarotti left hospital Saturday after undergoing more than two weeks of tests and treatment linked to his battle with cancer, a hospital spokesman said. The 71-year-old singer, considered one of the greatest tenors of his generation, was admitted to hospital with a high fever on Aug. 8 in his hometown of Modena. He underwent surgery to remove a pancreatic tumor in July 2006. |
