Updated Sunday, October 26, 2008 11:04 am TWN, dpa Solar-power ‘sticker lamp’ developed by HK inventorLee said the lamp has electroluminescent material on one side and solar panels and sensors on the other. The lamp can be stuck to a window where the solar panels absorb sunlight to charge the lamp which can then be taken down and placed in a room to provide light at night. “No extra electricity is needed,” said Lee, a graduate of Hong Kong Polytechnic University9s school of design. She said that because the lamp is very thin and light it could reduce complicated manufacturing procedures and save on raw materials. Subscribe to The China Post and save 25%. Click here |
