One black box found from Yemeni plane crash: France

PARIS -- France's transport minister says one of the black boxes of the Yemeni jetliner that crashed in the Indian Ocean has been found.

Dominique Bussereau told reporters after a government meeting in Paris on Wednesday that “we have found a black box” of the Airbus A310.

He did not say whether it was the flight's voice recorder or its data recorder or give any other details. Most planes have two black box flight recorders.

France's minister for cooperation, Alain Joyandet, said the search for bodies and wreckage was continuing off the Comoros Islands. One survivor, a 14-year-old girl, was rescued.

The jet carrying 153 people crashed into the Indian Ocean early Tuesday as it attempted to land in the dark amid howling winds.
