ATHENS--Police say they have arrested two men on charges of membership in a domestic terrorist organization and of being accomplices in a bank robbery in northwestern Greece late last year.
Police spokesman Christos Parthenis said Wednesday that Argyris Dalios, 22, and Foivos Charisis-Poulos, 23, were arrested in Athens on Tuesday on warrants that had been issued in February. They were detained along with another three men aged between 31 and 40 who face charges of harboring a criminal.
Parthenis said DNA samples taken from Dalios and Foivos Charisis-Poulos matched samples found on the site of another bank robbery in northern Greece. Four men had been arrested after that heist in February, including three suspected of links to a militant group that has claimed responsibility for a series of bombings.
