Final Georgia results give Ivanishvili bloc a majority

TBILISI--Final results published Friday from Georgia's parliamentary polls gave the victorious coalition led by billionaire tycoon Bidzina Ivanishvili a majority of 20 in the new legislature.

The central election commission said in a televised statement that Ivanishvili's Georgian Dream coalition will have 85 seats in the 150-seat parliament with defeated President Mikheil Saakashvili's former ruling party taking the remaining 65 seats.

No other party won any seats.

The results of the Oct. 1 vote mean that Georgian Dream will not have a constitutional majority.
