Dog is a winner in mobile phone throwing contest

NARVA, Estonia -- Two Estonians, a Finnish boy, and a dog entered the books Saturday as winners of the Ninth Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships in the eastern Estonian town of Narva.

Timmo Lilium won the men’s category with a throw of 85 meters, while Valeria Kadorova won the women’s category with a throw of 41 meters.

Riku Kankkunen, a 12-year-old from Finland, came out best in the children’s category with a throw of 55 meters.

The freestyle competition — for the most artistic approach — went to an Estonian dog named Cara, who spat the mobile phone 30 centimeters.
