Cargo plane taxis off runway at Dutch airport

MAASTRICHT, Netherlands — Dutch officials say a cargo plane's nosewheel got stuck in grass after going off Maastricht Aachen Airport's runway, and all flights have been canceled until the plane can be pulled free.

Airport spokesman Mark Keulers says none of the Boeing 747-400's crew were injured.

Keulers says the Cargolux plane landed Tuesday morning after a flight from Kenya, but its nosewheel ended up in grass next to the runway as the plane taxied to the terminal.

The airport is 125 miles (200 kilometers) south of Amsterdam.

The incident came nearly three weeks after a Turkish Airlines plane crashed short of the runway at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, killing nine passengers and crew and injuring dozens more.
