China reports 2 deaths from H1N1 swine flu

BEIJING -- China's Health Ministry says two more people have died of swine flu on the mainland, bringing its death toll to six.

The ministry said late Friday that China had reported 2,972 confirmed cases of H1N1 virus in 48 hours ending Friday afternoon.

The agency says there are 82 serious cases of swine flu, of which 29 have recovered, out of a total of 44,981 cases of swine flu recorded in the mainland since the outbreak.

No more details were available of the two deaths.
