According to Chiu, the proposal is part of DOH's plan to promote a healthier lifestyle in Taiwan. She added that images of smoking will also be prohibited from children TV programs. Further, the government could tax extara on junk foods, alcohol and betel nuts if the bill is passed. DOH is aiming to submit the proposal to the Legislative Yuan for approval in June this year and to enforce it in 2010, Chiu said.
