The list included such sensitive information as the tuberculosis patients’ national ID numbers, address, type of the disease, and entry and exit controls. The case was first discovered by members of the media who stumbled upon the information while conducting an information search. After alerting the CDC, it was discovered that information on some 953 patients had been accessible on the Internet for about a week.
