Seeking to correct the details on Deaflympics breach story

I was surprised to read your story titled “Security breach lets in blacklisted man,” which was published on September 9, 2009.

While I stayed in Taipei for the 21st Deaflympics, I learned of the publication of this story very late, that is — on the last day of the 21st Deaflympics on September 15.

Allow me to correct the following inaccuracies in the published story:

* I never had four (4) passports;

* while in Taiwan recently, I did not call any CISS officials in Taiwan to announce my presence in the country;

* in the CISS organization there is no elective or appointed position such as a Secretary-General;

* the Court of Arbitration for Sport never was the venue of my litigation claim against the three former CISS Presidents Jordan, Lovett and Ammons;

* the lawsuit case against the three CISS Presidents “is not an ongoing one” (instead, it was closed in 2006 and it never took place primarily because the three — Jordan, Lovett and Ammons — steadfastly refused to submit to the full jurisdiction of the Switzerland-based Court of Arbitration for Sport.)

To learn more of why I had a lengthy — personal and legal — confrontation with the three former CISS Presidents, please read my story titled 2000-2007 YEAR PERIOD SUMMARY: TWENTY ( 20 ) SUBJECT FACTS DEMONSTRATING MISMANAGEMENT, INCOMPETENCE, CORRUPTION AND RULES NON-COMPLIANCE IN THE CISS/DEAFLYMPICS STRUCTURE by clicking at: http://deafsportlawsuit.com/update110.htm

I also wish to inform your readers that throughout my 12-day stay in Taipei as a private citizen and CISS/Deaflympics Ombudsman, I felt very annoyed and aggravated by the involvement of many Taiwanese security agents and police who followed me everywhere I went to: stadiums, sporting arenas, restaurants and even restrooms. The hotel where I stayed in had also thoroughly “guarded” me with its secret security agents for 24 hours a day, every day.

I want to advise your readers that I did not travel to Taipei to make any trouble for any one. The ex-CISS President Ammons and her cronies — Tiffany Granfors, David Lanesman and Josef Wilmerdinger — were the ones to engage in their continuing personal vendetta against me: they were the ones to paint me as “a bad and dangerous deaf person.” They simply misled the organizers of the Taipei Games, the secret service agents and police about me. Basically, I am a peace-loving and international law-abiding citizen. I am also an ardent and passionate sports fan.

On the other hand, I want to laud the whole Taiwanese population, especially its people in charge of the Taipei Organizing Committee of the 2009 Games, for their well-done job in running from September 5-15, 2009 the worldwide premier sporting event for the deaf and hard of hearing — the 21st edition of the Deaflympics. In my lifetime, I have witnessed 16 different Deaflympics — Summer and Winter Games — and now I must state with my usual candor and straightforwardness that organizationally the 2009 Taipei Games were the best-ever games in the 85-year-old history of the CISS/Deaflympics!

Again, congratulations to you, the hospitable Taiwanese people!
