Dalai Lama's visit to Mongolia was about science, not politics

Mongolia -- It could be the most scientific visit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in history.

This is the first time that the Mind and Life International Conference took a place in Mongolia.

It was 32nd conference in its history and was held under the topic "Buddhism Science and Science." More than 1,000 researchers and a number of lamas participated, and it was the first time that the conference involved researchers from the different branches of science, such as psychology, quantum physics, medicine, chemistry, biology and social science.

The researchers, from the U.S. and Mongolia, discussed and gave presentations about Buddhist science, including the origin of the Earth via the quantum physics theory, how Buddhism connects the mind, how meditation influences brain processes and how to overcome pain with mind control and meditation.

There were also discussions on the unique characteristics of Mongolian traditional medicine (healing), its connection to Buddhism and how the senses and the spirit are influenced when a person undergoes an organ transplant.

These facts reflect how Buddhism is developing along a more scientific than religious way and, based on this, China should agree that this visit from His Holiness the Dalai Lama is apolitical and refrain from levying criticism against his visit.

Listen what Dalai Lama speaks, see how he influences the lives of millions all around the world. I think Dalai Lama is a greatest man of a human kind and it is proven in may ways. If we think of healthy life, healthy existence in this universe, we have to respect and support Dalai Lama. China's treat to Mongolia is unfair, sordid and superior. Indeed, when Mongolians relate to Dalai Lama, they think and talk of his wisdom, rather than his relation with China. China must respect the choices of ordinary people and stop messing up with its politics.
