Cuba's Castro to visit China on mission to develop ties

BEIJING -- Cuban President Raul Castro will visit China this week as the long-time allies seek to deepen their diplomatic ties, the Chinese foreign ministry said Monday.

Castro will meet Chinese President Hu Jintao during his four-day trip to Beijing starting on Wednesday, ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said at a press conference.
