Lenovo is ready for a 'tough fight' against Apple's iPhone in China
BloombergBEIJING -- Lenovo Group Ltd., which re-entered the market for mobile phones this year to diversify from personal computers, is ready for a “tough fight” against Apple Inc.'s iPhone handset in China, President Rory Read said. China's biggest PC maker has developed phones with applications specific for the country, Read told reporters at a briefing in Beijing Monday.

Products aimed at the mobile Internet market, such as smartphones and netbooks, may comprise as much as 20 percent of Lenovo's sales in five years, compared with a “low single-digit” percentage at present, Read said.
