Mobile device search traffic on Baidu sees triple-figure surgeChina Daily/Asia News Network Baidu Inc., China's biggest search engine, said its mobile search traffic has registered triple-digit growth compared with last year amid a transition from personal computers to mobile devices, said a company official.
October 31, 2012, 12:32 am TWN The company will cash in on the transition with “multiple starting points,” including providing advertising products based on mobile Web browsers and mobile applications, Robin Li, Baidu's chairman and chief executive officer, said at a conference call in Beijing on Oct. 30. Baidu's revenue in the third quarter was 6.251 billion yuan, an increase of 49.7 percent from the same period last year, driven by “encouraging customer growth,” said Li in the statement.
