Ting Hsin hires executive of McDonald's Asia-Pacific arm

Ting Hsin International Group has hired Lee Ming-yuan, deputy chief executive of McDonald's Asia-Pacific operations, as its deputy CEO to expedite the group's expansion in China.

Ting Hsin, owner of the Master Kong instant noodle brand, also keeps various restaurants in China. The group now has some 1,600 eateries on the other side of the strait, a figure the group wants to see increased to 2,000 by the end of 2013.

"We're glad to appoint Lee, who will play a big part in increasing our reach and competitiveness," Ting Hsin said.
