Western Union Financial Services, Inc. has recently announced the Jingle Bell Box promotional campaign to help Taiwan residents celebrate Christmas, it said.
Entry is open to residents of Taiwan (including legal alien residents) who are 18 years old or over. The program is off limits to the following: employees of Western Union, their respective service providers, promotional agencies and relatives up to the second degree of affinity.
Participants who complete a Western Union Money Transfer and send the money to the Philippines through the Western Union Remittance System either directly from a licensed Taiwanese foreign exchange bank or through the money transfer entrustment service via a licensed labor brokerage company during the promotion period are eligible for the activity.
The promotion period is from now to Jan. 13, 2013. Each valid transaction to the Philippines with a Money Transfer Control Number, regardless of amount, is equivalent to one electronic entry.
The promotion consists of three draws. There will be 30 winners in total, or 10 winners per draw. The first, second and third draws will be held on, respectively, Nov. 16, Dec. 17 and Jan. 14.
Each winner will get a “balikbayan box,” or Jingle Bell Box, which consists of Taiwanese groceries with a total value of NT$6,000. The winner can either claim the prize for him or herself, or ship it to a specific person in the Philippines. Western Union will be responsible for the shipping fee.
