Canada's Magna Steyr to produce Mini, Infiniti cars at FSO plant in Warsaw: Polish newspaper

WARSAW -- Canadian car parts maker Magna Steyr could assemble Mini and Infiniti cars in the FSO plant in Warsaw, run by Ukraine's UkrAvto company, the Polish daily Gazeta Prawna said Monday.

Magna and UkrAvto could sign a deal early this month, said the daily citing sources close to the talks.

The daily said Magna Steyr may invest a billion zloty (US$300 million) in the plant, while the first Mini and Infiniti cars could leave the assembly line in the second half of 2013.
