Dynapack Corp., a battery maker for electronic devices, has entered into the supply chain of PC maker AsusTek and will be making Ultrabook laptop batteries for the company, it said.
The batteries are expected to begin shipping in July, it said.
AsusTek originally sourced its batteries from Simplo, Celxpert and LG. They have now added Dynapack, which has expertise in making lithium polymer batteries suitable for Ultrabook computers. With Dynapack winning the orders from AsusTek, the firm is expecting to see a boost in sales this year, it said.
Dynapack already supplies products for Apple and has achieved single monthly sales highs in April and May, outperforming its peers thanks to the strong popularity of tablet PCs. The firm is expected to again post high sales in the third quarter, due to increased shipments of Apple's MacBooks as well as the Ultrabooks from the non-Apple alliance.
“Our clients spread across both Apple and non-Apple sectors and have contributed positively to our business,” Dynapack said. “This is indeed a year in which we can roll up our sleeves and work hard to post stellar results.”
Making things better, Dynapack has obtained lithium polymer battery orders from Samsung, for whom the company originally made cylindrical battery modules. The business from Samsung will further strengthen Dynapack's operations, analysts said.
Dynapack is set to post a Q2 sales increase of 15 to 20 percent compared to Q1, experts said.
