Hungarian unemployment dips to 9.9%, lowest level in four years
AFPBUDAPEST--Hungarian unemployment fell to its lowest level in four years, to 9.9 percent in the June-to-August period from 10.1 percent between May and July, the statistics office said Friday.

The figure, which peaked this year between January and March at 11.8 percent, last fell below 10.0 percent in 2009.
Hungary does not publish monthly jobless numbers, saying reporting a three-month average is less volatile.
Hungary's economic prospects have brightened in recent months, although only slightly.
The economy grew in the second quarter for the second period running and for the first time since early 2012 on an annual basis.
The government forecasts growth of 0.7 percent overall in 2013.
