EuropeThe retailer will work with market researcher Dunnhumby Ltd., its partner in the UK-based Clubcard plan since 1995, to analyze data it gathers in nine countries abroad, the Cheshunt, England-based company said in a statement Saturday. Tesco spokesman Adam Fisher declined to comment on its likely impact on earnings. “There are no estimated sales figures at the moment,” Fisher said in a phone interview. “Clubcard is one of the great successes of Tesco and we’re wishing to replicate that. In terms of actual sales it’s quite tricky to break it down.” Tesco will introduce loyalty cards in Thailand, Hungary, Turkey, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, Fisher said.
