TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Chunghwa Telecom Co. (中華電信) recently announced that it will hold a series of competitions for digital innovations and applications, including “Fun Park creative storytelling competition” held jointly with Smartfun Digital Co. (智趣王數位科技).
Chunghwa Telecom said the storytelling competition aims to inspire children to use their creativity and to develop their capabilities in digital innovations.
Citing research data, the company said digital learning is an inevitable education reform in the future as children would learn more effectively by digital reading than reading with hard copies.
The company further noted that the storytelling competition welcomes children between grades 1 and 6 of elementary school, regardless of their nationalities, to participate the contest.
Apart from the storytelling contest, Chunghwa Telecom also holds competitions for making micro movies — a type of low-budget movie shot mostly on digital video devices and edited on a computer, and contests to develop smartphone applications.
