Meanwhile, Citi cardholders who swipe with their Citi Privilege Card get a second ticket free from Mondays to Thursdays and get a 17-percent discount on the weekends. These offers apply to the Vieshow's 11 movie theaters all around Taiwan, which takes in a total of 106 screens.
In August 2013, Google and Ipsos MediaCT released a report on smartphone consumer behavior worldwide.
The report indicated that 37 percent of Taiwan's smartphone users have made a purchase on their phone and that tickets account for 15.6 percent of all purchases — the highest proportion of purchased items. These figures show that business opportunities for m-commerce via smartphones are shaping up nicely.
