New Audi A3 and S3 Sportbacks now available

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Audi recently announced that its latest iteration of the A3 Sportbacks and S3 Sportbacks have arrived in Taiwan, with the price-tag ranging from NT$1.41 million to NT$2.4 milllion.
Audi last Friday launched its latest hatchback A3 Sportback and S3 Sportback cars in Taiwan. According to Audi, it has sold globally a combined total of more than 2.7 million A3 and S3 units, with the A3s starting in 2004 and the S3s beginning sale in 2013.
The A3 series offers four variants: the 1.4TFSI, 1.8TFSI, 1.8TFSI Luxury and 2.0 TDI. The 1.4TFSI is selling for NT$1.41 million, the 1.8TFSI for NT$1.59 million, the 1.8TFSI Luxury for NT$1.65 million, and the 2.0 TDI for NT$1.61 million. The official price for the S3 Sportback is NT$2.4 million.
Audi's five-door “Sportback” model was introduced in June 2004. The A3 Sportback is 80mm longer than the base three-door body, and includes improved rear cabin space and a larger, 370-liter luggage compartment.
To boost sales of the A3 sportback, Audi Taiwan also launched a website and specific A3 Sportback smartphone QR Code to increase the convenience of maintenance and after-sale service.
With the help of a new sales strategy, Audi Taiwan has estimated that it will sell more than 600 A3 Sportbacks in Taiwan, bringing worldwide sales of the latest A3 Sportbacks to over 4,000 units by the end of 2013.
The Audi A3 Sportback includes a wheelbase that is 58 mm longer than previous models, 35 mm longer than the A3; while the model's front axle has been shifted forward 40 mm compared to previous models. Other features include a choice of 13 colors, an optional high-gloss package which adds accents around the windows, and a six-speed manual transmission for all engine models.
