The new editor of Britain's Sun has so far resisted pressure from feminist campaigners to stop printing the page three photographs.
But editor Paul Clarkson of the Irish sister paper said: “The Irish Sun ... caters for a different audience in Ireland and we always strive to reflect our cultural differences here.”
A statement from the No More Page Three campaign said it was “really pleased” with the decision, which it described as “a huge step in the right direction.”
