Francis Ford Coppola set to speak at Hong Kong investment forum

HONG KONG -- U.S. film director Francis Ford Coppola will speak at an investment forum in Hong Kong, organizers said Wednesday, after actor Michael Douglas cancelled his appearance to undergo cancer treatment.

Coppola — whose film credits include “Apocalypse Now” and “The Godfather” — will “share his insights as a celebrated filmmaker, creative vanguard, and businessman,” said brokerage CLSA, which is hosting the Sept. 15 event. The annual CLSA forum draws chief executives, fund managers and other financial big-hitters from around the world.
