Morgan Stanley names Ko acting Taiwan head after Kuo resigns

Morgan Stanley appointed Wallace Ko, the firm's Taiwan head of equities, as acting head on the island after nine-year veteran Gary Kuo resigned last month.

Kuo, who joined in March 2001, was chairman at Morgan Stanley's Taiwan unit and head of Taiwan investment banking before his departure, said Nick Footitt, a Hong Kong-based spokesman at the U.S. bank. Kuo declined to comment when contacted yesterday.
