Far EasTone to bring iPhone to Taiwan

Far EastTone will offer both iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, with a range of 3G tariff plans tailored to iPhone customers.

The iPhone 3GS is the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet, packed with incredible new features including improved speed and performance — up to twice the speed as iPhone 3G — with longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel autofocus camera, easy to use video recording and hands free voice control.

The groundbreaking App Store further provides access to more than 150,000 applications from games to social networking to financial planning and health management, generating more than 3 billion downloads to date. iPhone is now available in over 80 countries around the world.

Far EasTone will offer flexible, tailored plans for iPhone customers, including data bundles and capped data charges. Plans starting at NT$738 include free Wi-Fi, SMS and MMS allowance, as well as 24 months interest-free payment as part of a special offer. In addition, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) users will be offered up to NT$4,500 in rebates on airtime. Far EasTone also offers prepaid plans with no contract, no monthly access fee and free 3G data access.
