Russia's Rosatom proposes nuclear fuel leasing

PARIS -- Russia's state nuclear giant Rosatom on Monday proposed leasing nuclear fuel to countries that need it and then taking it back for treatment in order to avoid proliferation. “If the fuel is of Russian origin, we are ready to propose leasing solutions over the entire lifespan of the nuclear plant,” Rosatom chief Sergei Kiriyenko said at an international conference in Paris.
