Capita expects very good 2010, sees election boost
ReutersLONDON -- Outsourcing group Capita said it was an enjoying an increasingly active market and that it expected a very good year with Britain's forthcoming general election likely to provide an additional boost. “We're not complacent about 2010 and beyond but we are quietly confident it will be a very good year,” Chief Executive Paul Pindar told Reuters, adding that he expected analysts to nudge up earnings forecasts after a rise in 2010 profit. Pindar predicted consensus for underlying pretax profit this year would rise to about 365 million pounds (US$560 million) from around 361 million pounds after the company reported a slightly better than expected 17 percent rise for 2009 to 325.1 million.
