Updated Friday, November 6, 2009 11:11 am TWN, Bloomberg TOKYO -- Elpida Memory Inc., Japan's biggest computer-memory chipmaker, raised its estimate for capital spending in the current fiscal year by 50 percent to 60 billion yen because of purchases of gear to make more advanced semiconductors, the Tokyo-based company said in a statement Thursday.
