Updated Wednesday, November 4, 2009 11:26 am TWN, AFP WASHINGTON -- Freedom Communications, which filed for bankruptcy in September, announced plans on Monday to close a newspaper in Arizona, the latest victim of the crisis gripping the U.S. newspaper industry. The East Valley Tribune, which employs some 140 people and is based in the town of Mesa, will put out its final edition on December 31, Freedom said, and its Web site will also be shut down.
