Powerchip, Nanya Technology rated 'sell' in new coverage at UBS

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Powerchip Semiconductor Corp. and Nanya Technology Corp., Taiwan's two largest memory-chip makers were rated “sell” in new coverage at UBS AG, on concern the companies will need to restructure their finances and because of weaker earnings.

The brokerage also rated shares of Inotera Memories Inc. “neutral” in new coverage, saying its balance sheet is the strongest among Taiwan's memory-chip makers.
