Philippine inflation rate dips to 4.2% in February

MANILA -- The Philippines' inflation rate fell to 4.2 percent in February due to a slight slowdown in price increases of basic commodities, the government said Friday. The National Statistics Office said the February rate was a tad lower than the 4.3 percent in January. Inflation a year ago was 7.3 percent.
