Malaysia's Perodua expects to sell 188,000 cars locally this year

Managing Director Aminar Rashid says Perodua sold 93,000 vehicles in the first six months and aims to sell 95,100 vehicles in the second half of the year.

He says this will give Perodua, which is partly owned by Daihatsu Motor Corp., a 31-percent share of the domestic market. Last year, Perodua sold 180,000 cars.
