South Korea reports 8.6-percent decrease in exports in FebruaryAFP SEOUL -- South Korea's exports and imports fell in February from a year earlier but the trade balance showed a surplus for the 13th straight month, government data showed Friday.
March 2, 2013, 12:02 am TWN Exports totaled US$42.33 billion, down 8.6 percent from a year earlier, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy said. Imports slipped 10.7 percent on-year to US$40.27 billion, leaving a US$2.06 billion surplus. February saw fewer days for clearing shipments through customs because of the Lunar New Year holidays, which fell in January last year.
