South Korea, Australia make pact on energydpa SEOUL -- South Korea is poised to increase imports of liquefied natural gas from Australia, as well as investments in mining projects Down Under, with a new agreement made in Perth Monday, the South Korean government said. The deal, which would increase South Korean cooperation in mining projects for coal, uranium, copper and zinc, was the result of the 25th Korea-Australia Joint Committee on Energy and Mineral Resources Consultation and Cooperation, held in Perth.
