Updated Wednesday, November 18, 2009 10:52 am TWN, Bloomberg SEOUL -- South Korea, which is 99 percent self-sufficient in rice, said it will set aside 150,000 metric tons of the grain as reserves for possible food shortages in Asia. The country also plans to expand agricultural aid to help improve global food security, Chang Tae Pyong, Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, said Tuesday in an e-mailed speech note for a United Nations summit on food security.
