Updated Thursday, August 6, 2009 12:53 am TWN, dpa JAKARTA -- Indonesia's central bank cut its benchmark rate for the ninth consecutive month Wednesday, following a further decline in inflation. Bank Indonesia reduced its policy rate by 25 basis points to 6.50 percent amid an improving economic outlook, the central bank said in a statement. The bank has reduced the rate by a total of 3 percentage points since December 2008 in an effort to help bolster the country's economic growth.
