Foreign investors should be banned from NT$

The measure is seen as an effective way to curb foreign currency speculation, it said.

The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE), meanwhile, said foreign capital was not against the idea, as they have been asking to use foreign currencies as collateral to borrow securities.

The idea must first be approved by the Financial Supervisory Commisison (FSC) first, TSE said, adding it hasn't received any instructions from FSC.
